From viral tongue twisting challenges to a wave of hilarious promos, the upcoming movie experience that made one of Twitter’s top 3 trending topics in Ghana finally hits Kumasi this weekend.

The long-awaited comedy film from Liezer-Legacy Productions, the producers of the satirical court drama series KEJETIA VS MAKOLA (on TV3) and the game show WHAT DON’T YOU KNOW? (on JoyPrime) is nothing like any story you have seen on Ghanaian screens.

The movie train is scheduled to travel from Kumasi to Accra, Sunyani and all the way up-north to Bolgatanga, so Ghanaians both far and near can enjoy the cinema experience.

Filmmaker Louis Lamis’s latest flick, “THE PLAY”, stars comedic actor Nana Gyasi Owusu “NGO” (Kejetia Vs Makola, What Don’t You Know?) as Mr. Adjei Boateng, whose vacation with his wife, Ama Boateng, played by Rebecca Mauro (Waves, Luv FM) at a guesthouse, gets ruined by their lustful games of sleight of hand, lies and twisted love circles.

Joining them in their vice are Nana Akosua Serwaa Afriyie, Eno Safo, Kwadwo Boakye Buadu, PhD., and rib-cracking performances from the naughty pair “Kwame and Kwame” played by Clemento Suarez and Jeneral Ntatia.

The Play promises to take Ghanaian filmmaking and comedy to a whole new level, effortlessly winning Lamis and his team a brighter spot beyond the stars.

The Kumasi train sets off from this Friday 29th April to Tuesday 3rd May 2022 at the Royal View Cinemas, inside Semanhyia Golden Mall, at Top High with three viewing times: 5 pm, 7 pm and 9 pm. Moviegoers looking for an exciting getaway this weekend can grab their tickets at GHS50.

Ready to play? See you at the movies!
