The play did not fail to deliver its promise of unforeseen twists and resonating humour on its first night. The only show on the second night, however, closed with a phenomenal and sensational event the audience never saw coming.

After Judge Louis Lamis (Louis Lamis) delivered his final words in the show’s climax to plunge the audience into deep thought and silent resolution, he introduced on stage one of his fans, a lady named Hemaa Akua, CEO of Queenik Style, to join the cast at the close. Obviously, there were diverse guesses running through the minds as the lady’s appearance on the stage caused a slight stir among the audience. Was the play dedicated to her?

Was she the brain behind the story? Was she a sponsor who was going to receive some honour? The stir got more intense when Louis Lamis called to the stage a gentleman clad in an elegant suit, and the sudden reaction of surprise coupled with Louis’s statement “…he has something to say to the lady..” added up at once.

What was supposed to be the usual closing remark for most shows swiftly turned into an emotional marriage proposal on stage as the gentleman, Eric Afriyie, expressed his deep feelings for Hemaa before the oohing and aahing audience, closing with the iconic kneel with a box being slipped out of his jacket to reveal a gleaming promise ring to welcoming cheers. All of the male cast joined Eric on their knees in excitement and anticipation for the pivotal response from the lady as they joined the audience to chant “Say yes, say yes!!!”

...Will you??

…Will you??

Hemaa looked smothered as she stood there on the stage and would have blushed blood-red if she were a Caucasian. After few seconds being dumbfounded, Hemaa finally said “yes” and hugged her man, but she did not go emptyhanded; the proposal came with a car as a gift as well.

Yes, there was a car as a gift!!

The night closed with the bonus bloom of romance lingering over the show goers as they exited the auditorium buzzing with excitement. Great things happen at Liezer-Legacy Productions and this promises to be the beginning of greater treasures bagged and awaiting release in the coming year and beyond.

It was a sight to behold
